When I saw the dish of water at the bottom of the pot I though "don't berries hate wet feet?" But
I guess the roots don't do down that far. Also he mentions consistently moist - is that all week long?
How often are they watered? -
Awesome! I have blue berries, raspberries, grapes, tomatoes, jalapenos, lemon, papaya, potatoes, pecan trees, peach tree. I love gardening. Can't wait till my berries start to give fruit, very excited.

I heard that if you plant a fig in the ground it dies to the ground every winter (I'm in zone 6), won't it have trouble getting big like your plant?

I really dont have a problem with birds eating the berries, but if you do then you can drape a thin bird netting over the plants and that'll help out a lot.
