On May 20th, Michael's Hair Body Mind, Forests Ontario, and Credit Valley Conservation Authority worked to re-green Rattray Marsh in Mississauga. The planting guided volunteers of all skill levels in replacing trees in an area of the marsh that had been destroyed by the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB). The event was part of a North American attempt to plant a record-breaking number of trees in conjunction with other tree planting teams. The goal was to plant more than 190,000 trees across the US and Canada in order to earn a Guinness World Record. As for the eager planters, they will learn in just a matter of weeks whether they have successfully achieved a Guinness World record.
