Colored Pencil Tutorial: Secret Garden Adult Coloring Book
Tips, Tricks
This is a fun little colored pencil tutorial showing how to create complex colors and shading on a tiny tiny scale that is used in Joahan Basford "A Secret Garden coloring book". These small spaces can be overwhelming to trying shading and layering on but they are easy to do once you know how. love your videos, are these pencils harder than the prismas? I have a large set of prismas and I am thinking of getting some oil based pencils just unsure which ones.

Very enjoyable tutorial. Love the colors!!

Ah-maz-ing! Thanks for this tip! Even with the bigger designs, there's sometimes little bitty sections that seem like there's nothing to do but a solid color. Thanks!

I KNOW that I will skip that page to the right! Lol!

Thank you for this tutorial. Im not sure if you have a tutorial on choosing color combination. Can you give us a tip or technique? Do you choose your color before atarting a page or you random pick colors as you go?

Thank you much!

To see the amount of work involved doing all the leaves "blows my mind"! It reminds me of the Lewis Carroll ode "If seven maids with seven mops... "
But, I agree, the result is fantastic -
Wow, I love the result! Thank you for sharing with us newbies! Knowledge is a gift! ~ Deb

Can you do this with Crayola pencils?

Very nice I wonder if you could do a tutorial on how to color Stones and bricks

I really did it's hard to follow other people's tutorials

Fantastic. I remember being impressed with the color detail when I saw this on Instagram. Now I know that I can get those beautiful color blends even on little leaves. I have some of the Marco Rafine Oil based color pencils and I do really like them. Like a student grade, mid-range oil pencil. They blend like butter, though. I think I'll use those. It's my dream to get my hands on some FC polychromos but I'm saving my pennies. Thanks, Karia! Hope you get to feeling better soon. Sucks to be sick. Yuck. I really enjoy your videos.

That was awesome! Love watching you color. You do an amazing job and are such an inspiration to us newbies! Hope you feel better soon. I do have a question......I never see a tip jar in the upper right corner. Why is that? What am I missing? Do you have a link for paypal by chance?

thank you that was so fun

Yes, this is what I do with my FC polychromos too, they blend really nice and I am trying to keep them all with the sharpest point possible, it costs a lot less pencil waste then compared to have to sharpen them when you have a real blunt point. We need them sharp too for all this small details in these books. Thanks for your video on this!Do you color the areas around the pictures too and how/with what?
