Tips, Tricks
Please do not request any seeds. I've been overloaded by requests for these seeds. ha ha! they are nice. Seeds are very easy to collect from your Rose of Sharon bush.

sooooooooooooooooooo....... my father picked some green pods for me and I was wondering how do I get the seeds from the pods? They are all still green, not dried out and brown.

i would love some seeds i can get my separate envolope for them. my grandma gave me the wrong seeds i think..i dont want to dissapoint her when they dont grow

My very knowledgeable gardener friend explained to be that I only needed to drop the collected pods on the ground in the fall and they would then grow in the spring. This can be seen by the fact that near a rose of Sharon bush many more of the same bushes will start to grow if we didn't cut off and get rid of the seed pods from the bushes in the fall.

will seed pods be present after each flower fades or once the shrub stops producing flowers all together? both mine are currently flowering. TIA :)

Sweet. I've got several in my yard, ranging in colors from White, to purple and pink. I have often wondered if I could collect the seeds, as these are indeed my favorite flowers. So this year I am going to give it a go. Can you tell me, did any of your seeds take?

It's awesome what you were trying to do! I'd like to know some of the results. Are you still doing this? Maybe I should try this. I have white Rose of Sharon, but I would love a variety! I dead-headed my rose but didn't realize there were seeds in those pods! (Duh!) Actually, come to think of it, I don't recall seeing anything in my pods; I may have been to late. I'll know better next time. Thanks for the info!

I would like to get different colors too. How much it may cost? Can you send to Canada by post?

If you are still offering the seeds I would love some. Please let me know. I've always loved Rose of Sharon and am looking forward to planting a hedge along the house. I would be happy to document what color they are when they come up. Thank you!
