I can't exactly remember what it was I planted last year, maybe it was mustard greens or swiss chard but it was so bitter and spicy hot it burnt your mouth for hours! Is that normal?

I love to watch you two, its so refreshing. In my 70 years of gardening can you believe I have never grown kale. if I am ever going to I think I had better do it this coming year. I grow everything in pots & half barrels now. its easier for me. I live in northern california, when should I stat=rt them? I am growing tomatetos & swiss chard under lights right now in my house. doing quite well. tomatoes are in bloom. these are in my bedroom. its like living in my garden. I love it.

This is so cute to watch, you two nibbling what you have growing in your garden as you film….love it LOL. This makes me love gardening more because of the good food you pick to feed your family. We love the kale and I grew the dinosaur kind during my winter.
I just picked some beetroots for my friend and some for us to roast tonight. I harvested some onions (first time growing them) too. -
We hope to do more kale next year. Our kale from seed to forever to sprout, and then the cucumbers took over. Needless to say, the kale didn't do as well as we thought it would.
