Can anyone please help me? I got some cuttings from my grandparents yard 4 different kinds of roses and a few from a bottlebrush bush. I tried Bitch putting the cutting in water to root and I tried TAKEROOT (rooting hormone) . All of the cuttings are starting to look like they are dying. My grandmother passed away a few weeks after giving me these cuttings so they really meal a lot to me. Can anyone give me some advise please ? I've watched a ton of videos and I don't know what I'm doing wrong .

This is ridiculous question and I take responsibility for it. In pronouncing "root", one can hear a clear accent that sounds like "rut", and I am going out on a limb here with the benefit of ignorance to conclude that it is an accent and not the spelling of the word. Having said that, I prefer her pronunciation as distinct from "root" that rhymes with "boot". Excellent video!

It's often recommended to smash, or peel the skin of the part in the soil. I've done this with no success. Is there a reason you don't do this?

I've noticed that people tend to say their roses bloom strong after a family member dies, I'm guessing human sacrifice works well but I'm still experimenting. I'll let you know. Great video.
