a much easier way to nick the seed, take a wet paper towel, lay seed on towel and hit with a meat tenderizer. You may loose a few seeds because they will snap in half. But this method is much easier than trying to hold a seed in a tool and nick it while in your hand

Hello. Very informative video! Thank you for taking the time out. I have a question. I'm looking at my Canna Lillies and they have reached that greenish seed pod stage where the flowers are all spent as seen in the video at around 2:00. My question is, what is the right time to dead-head these for constant blooming in the summer? Also, what will happen if I just let those seed pods be and have them fall to the ground naturally?
