391 square feet, thanks :)

Is that 391 feet square, or 391 square feet? There's a big difference you know ;)

Happy New Year, Huw!

Another tip: when using newspaper, call the publisher to find out if the inks used are soy-based.

That's right, Huw! Decreasing (or eliminating) the Peat in the mix is the only sure-fire method of dealing with fungus gnats.

Hello and it's okay, thanks for watching 'em :) Sometimes I do, rarely but we do have a greenhouse, called a solar tunnel, and Fungal Gnats, never heard of them, we don't get many gnats as the climate it too wet and cool, but I've found some ways on the web, you could introduce a predator insect called Hypoaspis Miles that feeds on the fungus gnat larvae. neem spray called 'neemgold'. Gnats are attracted to PEAT so decreasing peat in the soil will make it less attractive for breeding.Good Luck

Yep sand does have it's place, good to have a layer of sand in a worm bin and I did that on my worm farm making video. Egg shells are also great for keeping away slugs! Thanks for watching
-
All of them? Okay I'll take a look for you, they seem okay on my laptop but any more detail? Thanks for letting me know Ray :)

Sand has its place in worm bins just no more then a light sprinkle the worms need a source of grit to help them process materials I my self use powdered egg shell after a blitz in a coffee grinder.

Huw, did you know the royal channel has a youtube page and they did a gardening video, thought you might like to look. (TheRoyalchannel) Mygrove: Growing cuttings from plants

Good advice on the newspaper Huw. I would also add the newspaper can also be used in the compost if you rip it up into strips and the sheets can be used to help prevent grass growing up through new beds if they are placed on top of the grass before new bed is built. This can be useful when making no dig garden beds.

Thank you for your videos! Do you grow vegetable plants indoors? Did I see you in a greenhouse in a few of your videos? If so, what do you do to control Fungal Gnats? Thanks again for your help in this matter!
