What an amazing collection of fruit trees! Interesting panorama camera angle, from the roof, genius! I am on a very windy hill top (in Vista, CA just south side of 78 and Emerald) and have no luck with standard size bananas, they get blown over before ever ripening. I am having good luck with an unknown dwarf variety that I dug up from a guy named Steve next to CrestView Elementary school in Vista, so they are my "Steve" bananas. I am also having good luck with a dwarf Raja Puhri, if the gophers are kept at bay, it holds up well to the strong winds and limited frost damage. Limited luck with a Dwarf Cavandish, easily damaged by frost. So I am very interested in the Super Dwarf Namwah you show at 11:11. You also showed Walk-a-taan at 13:04 and Ha-Ha Banana at 14:07 & 16:25. Your place is very sheltered from wind, but how about frost issues in Chula Vista?

Wow amazing! My parents are from Laos/Vietnam, my goal is to plant as many available tropical fruit trees for them in hopes they can someday enjoy the taste of their homeland again. War is what brought them here to America and I am happy to have the freedom of living here and glad they too are here. But when talks about some fruits that has never been on my plate comes to their minds, i wish i could travel back in time to the burned land they once walked upon and pick those bearing fruits for them. I'm glad people like you are taking interest in rare fruits. It's what brings cultural diversity together, everyone can't understand each other, but everyone can enjoy tropical fruits that leaves a craving for years to come. Thanks for the video, i live in Fresno, CA.

I have started most of the trees from seed and then grafted them to certain varieties, also I got my "dark star" suriname cherry from toptropicals nursery in Florida. Some of the rarer trees I bought from Ong Nursery in San Diego.
