Hi Jon...
Couple questions:
1.) This looks to be built out of standard Home Depot dimensional stud lumber, with the exception of the pressure treated legs. Will the raw untreated wood not just rot out in the rail filled with wet dirt the entire time?
2.) Did you not use pressure treated wood for the whole project, because the chemical(s) would leach into the soil/food? -
Not a bad looking box/planter, BUT I think using the washers with the deck screws REALLY takes away from the job.........
-
Can you add wheels to the bottom to move it easily?
-
Great job man, Thanks for the info!
-
This is great! I've been building planter boxes on the ground bit it's a pain to to the lawn care around the edges and weeds get in easier, not to mention smaller critters. I'm doing this instead.
-
How are the planters holding up? Would you change anything on them now?
-
Ever thought about doing more "limited tools project" videos?
-
Jon, I tried to go to the link for the stand planter under show more, but all I get when I click on it is ERROR 502 - BAD GATEWAY. Can you fix this so I can see the planter plans?
-

Hey John, I really enjoy your channel. Just curious, do your sons have interest in creating and building?
-
Thank you for sharing, I was planning to make one, years ago - now I have an idea how to make an elevated planter box. Thanks again! :)
-
Very cool! Thanks for the great video.
-
Wondering how long (2-3 years or more?) you expect these to last with moist soil in contact with the untreated pine?
-
I really enjoy your videos.Kathy
