You can grow and regrow broccoli year round. They also grow in winter greenhouses or indoors by window partly sun I winter. Always make sure you have a tiny fan on in your greenhouse or by your windows for your veggies.
You can regrow the stalk of the broccoli also
Sad you haven't eaten all those leaves - they're just as nutritional specially the young leaves. Sautee or put in juices and smoothies.
You can also eat the flowers add to salad they are sweet and also pack with nutrients. -
Broccoli is about the only healthy food I eat so I might grow a plant or two this year.
-
What kind of insects do you contend with on the Broccoli?
-
It takes around 80 to 100 days until you can harvest the main head, but after that, you have a lot more side shoots to develop. Thanks for watching!

How much time it takes the plant to grow

Hey there, I have a Q about my broccoli and I'm hoping u can help me. I start my broccoli from seed and they r leggy, I mean leggy they r falling over. Can I re-pot them and plant it deeper so they won't b leggy anymore? Or will the stem rot? Thanks
-
I have it in a pot that's about 6 inches in diameter and about 8 inches deep. It seems happy and is getting bigger but not nearly as large as yours. You think I should repot it or let it be?
-
No problem. Thanks for watching! I have some new plants in those exact containers for this fall. I can't wait for some fresh broccoli.
-
This is a great idea. I have some 5 gallong buckets I'm gonna use. Great video.. Thanks!
-
Oh thanks very much.

I use Bayer Vegetable and Garden Insect Spray. This is NOT organic spray however, but it is extremely affective. I only typically have to spray my veggies once at the first sign of worms. You can also use Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis). This is an organic pesticide.
-
I hear ya. What did you use to spray them?
-
Yep. At the first sign of those worms, it would be a good idea to go ahead and spray them suckers. They can do some fast damage on cabbage, broccoli, collards, etc. You start to see those white moths flying around your garden and the next thing you will see is wholes from the worms on your plants. I guess they have to eat too....but I don't want to feed them...I want to feed me and my family.
-
I see! Wow, I was getting myself all worked up for nothing. Well, I am already worried about the worms... ewww! lol
-
Sure. But you really don't need that much soil if you want to save some money. The root ball on broccoli does not get too large.

I'm in Georgia. (I forgot I even watched this video but glad I came back to it. And the size of that pot on that huge broccoli is amazing. I can use buckets then couldn't I? WOW

@..superslyfoxx1...I am not sure where you are located, but you can probably look up a planting guide for your area on the internet. Good luck!
