Sure, is true, you need to plan well to have a successful business, even on the farm.
I am an Australian Micro Farmer and sell microgreens at the moment to local restaurants. I am working on growing new plants and working on turning them into products for restaurants and farmers markets.
The plan that everyone has access to is wonderful,,,especially if you have others around to help.
I am a single full time father, so everything depends on me.
A while ago I got sick and nobody to keep my business going, so I had to close, but now I am on the comeback,,hahaha,,just can't stop really.
Thanks for the video and advice.
Happy gardening/Farming

Great video! Videos like this have helped our family take small steps towards starting our own farm! Thanks!

Brilliant video/audio!! Stacey you're great at this, you should go full-time in agriculture education, you have a calming and clear voice, you go through information succinctly without losing the listeners' attention, and on top of all that you sound like a nice person too.

I listen to this on my commute everyday (for the last month at least). It's been a very cold spring here, nobody can plant anything unless they have coldframes or hoops. How is your farm looking like this year?

great!

One thing that is overlooked is a spouse. I grew up on a farm and love the life. My ex-wife was a city girl and was in love with the idea of farm life but didn't understand the amount of devotion it takes. Needless to say the marriage didn't last.

*putting together this* oops!

thank you Stacy for all your effort and time invested in putting this presentation for FREE! This has planted some seeds in my mind and I will "water" with more research and I am sure will yield "fruit" once I have applied the knowledge share. Much appreciated.

Thanks for your thoughtful feedback! For people wanting to look at a Business Model Canvas to see if it's useful for them, I just added a link in the video description to a youtube channel that describes how to use one.

Comments Part 1 Introduction needs to be cut short. Picture is static for first 2:40 Good first question: but present it withing 20 seconds. Defining success should first. Separate what it's does (defining, clarifying, outlining) and what it's good for (investors, loans...) The canvas makes no sense to me. If you make reference to other resources, provide links. Like the idea of a success plan. Good examples of financial quantifications.
