1. On Hyperion, Vladof and Maliwan, I agree 100% with you
   
   
   I agree with you on Jakobs too, this is just a personal preference thing: Out of the 3 you singled out, I REALLY like the Dahl-barreled Calipeen the most: It's only slightly weaker than the Muck, but if you need a second (or third) shots, it comes out faster and is already on target since it has almost no recoil. The only time the muck is a better deal to me, is if the difference in damage is the difference between 1 or 2 shots (that's a pretty narrow band IMO).
   
   On Dahl snipers, the Terror (Jakobs barrel) is by FAR the best:
   The recoil only comes after the burst: It might not look like it, but that last shot is actually on-target, the recoil comes slightly after and only messes up any potential further shots you might take (bloody unlikely). The recoil is heavy, but it's irrelevant on Dahl snipers: you probably don't need to do any more followup shots after a full burst. The slower fire rate is actually a good thing: It gives you a better window of time to scope out to not waste ammo. The smaller burst compared to the Dahl barrel is also a good thing since it wastes less ammo (Who needs more than 3 shots from a sniper ?). And the increased damage is more than welcome. Nothing but good things, even the penalties are good.

3. Have to disagree regarding the droog. The droog is a superb sniper for all classes when levelling due to its crazy dps. While zer0 can make most use out of it courtesy of CA, critical ascension is not really a thing whilst levelling in tvhm and early uvhm (the sheer rigour of the skill means its more of an endgame thing). The droog just has absolutely crazy dps and is a superb constructor/boss/badass killer. Of course the ammo consumption is pretty crazy but thats why one has 4 weapon slots.
4. Who are the two to three guys who always instantly down vote :( this was great and you're my favourite bl2 content creator. Hope you continue this series for the other gun types and even shields.

7. It might be the Pimpernel that has blurred my vision, but i do love the Dahl barrel on Sniders, but only visually. My favorite non red text has to be the Diaub. It's probably, and this is for me with my playstyle, the most damage per bullet i can get. Not the best sniper player, so i usually miss a crit or three while being shot at :)
   But with bones, and matching element, Sniders or Rakehells are usually the way to go, yea.
8. In TPS case all non-red text Old hyperion guns suck just becouse +% to accuracy, kills it's reverse recoil. That's why all Hyperion matching barrels has -% accuracy stat. But with expection to sniper rifles, i don't know the numbmers but ADS gives Hyperion sniper big negative accuracy boost to make them extremly accurate, they also fastest projectiles makes Hyperion snipers good for long distance shooting (in a theory), but they lacks damage.
   Here is my point, Old Hyperion Sniper rifles has kinda bad stats, but some little difference in accuracy is meaningless to snipers, however their bigger damage with perfect ADS accuracy is quite usefull in low gravity. I like the Jakobs barrel one the most of them I think it's called Cohesion, also end game health scaling isn't that big so Old hyperion sniper are more reiable than most players think.
9. The texts need high contrast colors like green, red or cyan for better readability.
   
   And about the snipers,
   1) I think the Hyperion sniper barrel should have a critical damage boost like the Hyperion pistol barrel.
   2) I would trade the Maliwan sniper barrel's elemental effect chance boost with elemental effect damage boost or additive splash damage.
   3) The Hyperion sniper rifles would be better if they also gain gradual damage boosts while on ADS.
   4) The Dahl sniper rifles would be less of bullet hoses if they have a reduced ammo consumption gimmick like the Vladof RLs. Another way to counter their ammo consumption issue is making them consume a fixed number of 2-3 sniper ammo to burst fire 3-5 or even more with matching Dahl parts on ADS, the ratio of number of projectiles fired to the ammo consumption should be ~1.5 at least.
   5) I think all sniper barrels and bodies should have a built-in iron sight in the future Borderlands installments, players would have easier aim with scopeless red-text SRs like the Pitchfork.
   
   Plus I have a question to ask: Does the accuracy bipod accessory give bonuses other than accuracy boost? Because I think the accuracy bipod is inferior to the critical damage bipod as it has both critical damage and accuracy boost, and I also think the accuracy bipod is unnecessary.
10. I used to hate Dahl snipers while leveling up, especially on normal, since the ammo pool was tiny, the extra shots in the burst were mostly worthless and I didn't even know you can cut it short by scoping out.
    Later on in UVHM however, Dahl probably became my second favourite brand in terms of fun and feel after Jacobs. The extra rounds can be useful on the tougher enemies, they're great for bosses, and quick-scoping trash mobs, while being a slight hindrance, kinda makes sense and is a ton of fun once you get used to it.
    Hyperion are bad both on performance and feel, but the Morning Star can be pretty fun. Until you go back to another brand and remember what's it like having a decent fire rate, that is.

I did a lot of testing for stats on individual parts recently with Snipers, and I found it interesting that for whatever reason, Jakobs and especially Maliwan, have much higher damage bonuses for the matching barrels. The other brands get ~5.8% more damage (from base), Jakobs gets ~7.8%, and Maliwan gets a ridiculously high ~11.6% damage boost. If the Maliwan matching damage boost wasn't so damn high, the Jakobs barrel would outdamage it by about 30k base damage (Based on my calculations using blade accessories).
