Borderlands 2 Tips for Farming: Shotgun Barrels
Tips, Tricks
In this series I go through a range of Tips from different topics on how to better play the Borderlands 2. In this video I go over 2 Shotgun Barrels to go over which are the best of the best and also talk about good ones to get while leveling or what to avoid. I think that the bandit shotguns are actually pretty good, specifically the bandit / torgue-barreled ones
-
I never knew someone could so go in depth on a weapon part in Borderlands 2 for 54 minutes goddamn what is this a history lesson?
-
What else do you play besides Borderlands, Derch? Also, can I add you on Steam? Finally got a proper gaming PC a month and a half ago and I'm loving Borderlands and Battleborn!
-
i have found so many green three way hulks in all my playthroughs for some reason

Great video! this is great for people who like the game, but haven't memorized gun parts. (like all of my friends XD)
-
Tediore shotguns would be more useful and being on par with the Tediore SMGs and RLs if the pellet count is factored into the chucking damage output.
-
I'd be curious to see you make one of these videos for Sniper Rifles.
I've been doing testing recently on calculating the exact values for stats on individual gun parts and my tests on Sniper Rifles has been very enlightening so far -
Hey Derch, do you know of any guide that translates the name of a weapon to its barrel? Yeah I know you can just look at the weapon, but I am still learning the parts, so I don't always recognise the barrels of all of the weapon types. Somebody must have done a guide like that.

For the majority of this video I was staring at the ammo meter thinking "RELOAD DAMMIT"
-
Damn this is so informative and easy to understand. Thx Derch

Thanks for this one. I've done general rings with all of the different gun types and f found which ones felt the best, but understanding the nitty-gritty can be a bit tough. Shame you're not a big pistol guy; they always feel so hit or miss to me that having this kind of thing for them would be amazing.
-
where do you find the parts charts for grenades and shields?
-
Derch, I don't like single-barrels.
I do like the design, but quads and double-barrels are my waifu.
Hyperion Quads were beast pre-OP8. -
Hey man you should separate them into more videos and schedule them. The video length scares some people away, and also you could edit each one more.
-
Great video extremely informative, also it is great to see that there are still bl2 and pre sequel uploaders like you and demonite and molf and others. people say the community is dead in my eyes it is growing. :)

I'll admit you sold the Coach Gun pretty well, but I still believe the higher-end multibarrel shotguns are the best option for a Killer Zero. He's got a lion's share of accuracy boosts, and you're usually firing from point-blank anyway. In addition, Fast Hands lets him swap off to automatic weapons to tide him over between Deceptions, so his shotguns are usually designated burst-damage tools.

Started watching, then heard "Accuracy = damage".
*clicked like*
If people just get that part in their head, 50% of the educational job on shotguns is done.
Little addendum: If you're looking for an elemental quad, to be used the same way a ravager is, I would definitely pick a Tediore Quad before a Hyperion triple or quad barrel: They have more damage per shot, and since the point is usually to end the fight in 1 or 2 shots, the reverse recoil on Hyperion is actually detrimental (since it's the first shot that counts and it's the one that is the most inaccurate) and the extra fire rate is almost useless. Compared to the other brand that can be elemental (bandit) they have great accuracy (almost as good as Hyperion...and MUCH better than hyperion on the first shot). Don't forget to be careful with the reload throw though.
I agree with your top 3 to a T. The Thinking, Coach gun and Ravager are the 3 best choices here for all 3 usual ranges.
My #4 on that list would be a Tediore Quad with an accuracy accessory (which actually brings them OVER coach guns in accuracy) to get an elemental option with a bigger barrel than the thinking.
Great video Derch, Looking forward to that next video on accessories :)
Also, a little challenge for you:
Run Lynchwood, with a Tediore triple or quad (elemental of course) with an accuracy accessory, and compare it to a run with a coach gun, you might be surprised :) (well, not THAT surprised...the coach gun is better, but the Tediore will be much closer than you think, and may deserve a spot as your 4th choice too) -
Also, let's not forget that Coach Guns just looks freaking amazing <3
Fashion Souls and all that good stuff :D -
I have exams tomorrow Derch...
