Best Soil Mix For Cannabis Seedlings and Flowering Marijuana Plants - Home Weed Grow Tips

Best Soil Mix For Cannabis Seedlings and Flowering Marijuana Plants. http://juicedcannabis.tip.me Tips for starting seedlings, growing and flowering medical cannabis at home. Break The Taboo. Cannabis is a dietary staple with the best preventative health effects of any known plant. I use a bail of compressed dirt - a professional potting mix that I purchased from a local greenhouse, mixed 50/50 with vermiculite. This loose soil mix permits great oxygen levels and very good drainage to ensure that a plant does not stand in water. This Q and A video was inspired by a private message question from a viewer of my other videos on cannabis seed selection and the best way to germinate cannabis.

can small rocks, pebbles, work the same as the vermiculite?
-
Use perlite instead of vermiculite. Vermiculite holds water.
-
That's a lot of vermiculite.

HI thanks for the lovely vid. quick question, can this soil remain to be the same during the whole cycle into the Flowering stage. and also would regular compost manure be just as fine cuz i am planning to just make my own organic fertilizer.

This video is very informative and accurate, thanks for all the great information!! :)
P.S. I hate to be a deutsch-bag but there are thousands of plants that live their entire lives underwater... think seaweed?? duh lol. There are also plants that live partly underwater, or under water for half the day and in the air the other half (think of the tides) etc.

That's been my experience too, vermiculite makes for a soggy, air starved mix. I now mix in different amounts of perlite for different growing conditions. And thanks for the tip regarding DWC, will check it out. I've seen some pics of grow systems that featured the gigantic stems, and that's what it's all about, the bigger the stem the bigger the top.
Thanx mate.....

Two parts peat moss, one part vermiculite and one part sand. That's all you need. Your professional mix already has sufficient vermiculite. You only need sand for drainage for aeration. I would also add pebbles of the sort you find with hydro grows. Great for drainage and aeration.

Can I use only vermicast / vercompost as my grow medium or I have to mix with soil? First time grower here!

I'm trying to find out if it's a good idea to clip the round leaflets once there's actual little leaves on them.

what is that white stuff?

Anybody else notice the white mold?

uhm, i reckon perlite would do a way better job than your verm. i have found the vermiculite keeps soil very soggy and doesnt add aretion. the large particle soil your using is doing that. Verm holds water not air. Perlite holds the water as tiny dropplets that form on its jagged surface, but alows plenty of air to pass through it. Perlite is essentialy a volcanic glass sponge. but because of its structure it allows for air to pass through it even when dosed with water.
the vermiculite just holds the water, great if you want to over water your plants not if you want to have an airy medium. if i am wrong let me know. but from my personal experience and experimentation ive found perlite to be the clear winner. and using both is stupid as i said. verm doesnt seem to add any extra airation. please tell me how wrong i am. i wont flame back. this is just my personal experience. but fuck soil grow Hydro DWC. dont look back,. your plants are tiny cos there root zone is limited. a plant can only grow as tall as it can grow down. so in DWC there is no bottom and thats how i get my plants to have 3/4 inch stalks at the base of the plant... get your plants out of pots and you will see em grow into trees,
