Best Clash of Clans Town Hall 7 Farming Base Layout: TH7 Defense Setup

A video guide describing and detailing the optimal base layout as a Town Hall 7 player in Clash of Clans. Best trophy and war setups are discussed later in this video. Thanks and credit to original poster/creator Heizenburg, who posted this layout on the Supercell forums (http://forum.supercell.net/showthread.php/207442-The-Mantis-a-TH7-Variation-of-The-Tempest). I loved the wall layout, picked it up and moved the towers and other structures to my liking, with rational for the moves and placement detailed in the video. The purpose of this farming defense setup is to protect the Dark Elixir storage above all other structures. It is very hard to access the Dark Elixir Storage without clearing a significant portion of this base (which does happens sometimes at TH7 - eventually you will run into a TH8 that uses a full set of spells, or dragons or hog riders). For the most part, it will keep your Dark Elixir safe and you will lose at most 2 storage buildings on most raids. A lot of times you will also get a free shield when people snipe the Town Hall. War and Trophy variations for this base are discussed later in the video.

for some reason I can't reply to Nathanial's comment - I'm actually trying to bait attacks on that side of the map. Generally whenever anyone attacks the side/top of the base, they don't get the DE. Most players have to attack from the southern half of the base to have a shot at the DE with typical farm troops (unless they are using a very expensive army or are TH8).

why did you decide to not close the gap in the top left corner of the base? i know the original one had it closed. Is there a reason for that?

Dude im th7 almost maxed. Maybe like a week more and ill be ready to move to th8... Just started watching your vids today and even though youre not that big a channel, i definitely feel like youre better than a lot of the big ones.... Love your vids and the content. Keep it up. New sub here :)
