I am new to gardening and I am really enjoying your videos OAG. I really appreciated your tip on mixing your beet seeds with sand in order to achieve a more even distribution of seed along the length of the row. That is a very helpful tip. Many thanks to you.

Semi off topic but applies to gardening and grow houses.
An option to think about. You don't have a small saw mill machine, but might know others with such device, or a local lumber yard/ saw mill. There are many toss-off boards (and outer rounds) that could be gathered. Make wooden raised garden bed boxes with the discards !!!! 6 foot logs can be cut into planks and rounds. Cut a 6 foot into two 3 foots. Make a 6' x 3' raised garden bed box. Use the rounds with the smooth side outward, inside round side walls and bottom. Use 4 L shaped corner posts, and diagonally cut the timber ends fitting into the inside corner. Personally make and use, or sell to other homies and preppies, take to farmer's market and sell as an additional income stream. Same toss-offs could be used for other constructed buildings chicken coop etc. Thinking outside of the "box." -
Hello there Ole Alabama :) You got any tips, tricks, or videos on growing sweet taters in clay gravel soil??

Great idea. You will be able to compare. I love beetroot. Have you tried the 'Cylindra'? It's great for slicing and it's a good taste. I also like Pablo. Thanks for the update. roll on summer!

I like adding compost too. I use the heck out of it. Looking good.

Looking forward to seeing how the row comes out. I used seed tape and I did not get anything because I did not realize that they were not spaced apart well enough and I needed to pull some out. I think the next time I will start like you did, then transplant.
