Bean Starts and Used Coffee Grounds - The Wisconsin Vegetable Gardener
Tips, Tricks
Joey shows a great way to start beans and talks about how to use milk crates as a container. Holly talks about how to get coffee grounds for free and the way to use them in your garden. We want to correct one thing we said about planting the bean seeds we informed you wrong, the correct information is the bump gets planted down not up the smooth side get planted up. thewiveggardener@gmail.com http://thewisconsinvegetablegardener.com Digital magazine: http://thewisconsinvegetablegardener.com/magazine/ http://www.hsucompost.com http://dollarseed.com http://manuretea.com http://wgardens.com http://gardenstamp.com http://bodymindandsoil.com Music by :http://www.freesfx.co.uk/music/ (free uncopyrighted royalty free music site) and http://www.danosongs.com/

Thanks much. A week to go before they say iit's safe to plant directly outdoors
but getting warmer in the house so maybe...I am growing blue coco and coban beans. -
Great video but you got the bean planting thing backwards, the eye of the bean (divide) is suppose to be planted facing down because that is where the root will come out.

Yes this project is great it gave me an idea with a project that I was planning to. A family member asked me if I wanted this huge medal thing I didn't know what I was going to use it on but the other day i said that it would be for my plant and I have 3 crates which I can use. Thanks for being there

Why does it take 1:53 to get past the intro and into your video???

Yes indeed starting seeds early INDOORS in our colder zones enables us to have an earlier start. My peas were started April 3 INDOORS and were planted OUTDOORS (zone 5) May 1 and they are now 5" high. IT DOES WORK! My green beans are still indoors growing in 3" pots, just waiting until Wisconsin weather gets warmer (June). Joey & Holly can you do UPDATES on your grow room? It would be nice to see the progress. Smiles, Lark
