In this episode of Banished to Weemsburg, we work on adding the Farming and Houses! Farming and Houses in Banished... In Banished the Farms are a great way to bring in food for your town. You'll be harvesting before winter and your farmers can move on to other tasks before eventually coming back in the Spring to start again. Houses allow your town to grow. Your people will spread out into new houses as they are built, and have children. Without new homes, they fill up existing homes and become unhappy, so make sure you keep up with demand - but don't put out too many unless you are trying to grow rapidly. Banished Let's Play - This series (Banished to Weemburg) covers my playthrough of the game Banished, including gameplay footage. I'll offer tips and thoughts for success in Banished, but it's based on me previous experiences in the game.

Hey Weem just wanted to thank you for putting so much content out lately. It's nice to see that some youtubers still listen to their subs. I suggested this a whole ago and I'm glad that you're having fun with it like I have. Keep it up man, and hope to see more in future

Hey Weem cool start. I've got a few suggestions though. Firstly if you want to have a steady amount of food for your starting population I always go with fish and gatherers hut produce. Hunting lodge is optional but I find they return a lot less than the other two sources; I use them more for the leather than the meat. I usually start up farms when I have a larger population. For the most part gatherers huts and 1-2 fully manned fisheries are good enough. I noticed you were cutting forests around your gatherers huts; that's not a really a good thing. Gatherers and Herbalists rely on forests for the produce they collect, those mushrooms and berries only grow around dense forests. Ideally you'd create 'no cutting zones' that are far from your city area to support gatherers and herbalists. It's been awhile since I played so they may have changed things, but that's how I usually started back last year.
On the topic of growing your population, you'd have to find that balance between food production and age. If you wait to long your population will get to old to produce offspring. Unless you get a town hall up to accept nomads. Hope this helps :) -
You should play some men of war

You were very enthusiast during this episode. That was really cool. Usually, when I see a video from you about a game I don't really know, I tend to get bored during the last minutes (especially when I'm sick like now), but the feeling that you really like this game was just to much to not be interesting until the end. I'd love to see more of that.
Plus, you know what you're doing. Less facepalm, more learning, that's great (even if sometimes I like facepalming a lot on Youtube^^ that's not a negative thing in my head^^). -
Good stuff. What starting conditions did you use?
