Avocado Tree Growing Mistake Watering.AVI
Tips, Tricks
An avocado tree customer from last year ordered more fruit trees and upon arrival at the home I was shocked to see had bad off the Reed and Lamb Hass trees were. The customer and I dug up the soil around the Reed avocado tree and began problem solving the issues. In this the problem was water and fertilizer issues.

2:22 to get to the point of your video ... Why?

You dive a little more into the details of what you recommend going into the soil than I do & it reveals your knowledge based on experience, but the one thing I appreciate about your videos is your consistent recommendation about significant watering. Obviously there can be potential root rot issues with over watering in non-porous soils, but you seem rather persistent & consistent in your videos regarding giving your trees sufficient watering. And that I really appreciate this because my overall experience with my own trees as well as other people's trees is that they usually kill their trees by under watering, especially in the more arid areas where the soil is highly porous. Thanks for another great vid!

avocados are though plants than can take a lot of abuse from the elements of nature, but they also are very thirsty and demand high quantities of protein. if you want strong branches bigger fruit that takes longer to be ready to eat, add some mixture of egg shells to the soil, if you want smaller fruit that is ready to eat very fast dont use egg shells but instead fruits, these will hurry the process of being ripe, if you mix fruit and egg shells, you will get an avocado that is could be big but that will be ripe too soon unless you want to sell them in which case go nuts

I had to learn the hard way by killing 4 or 5 trees before I figured out that they not only love drainage but they also love water. Now I have two flourishing trees: One tree that was grown from a seed that is now 5 years old & loaded with fruit, & another tree that is a year old with one rather large avocado; looking to be made into guacamole at harvest time. This is So-Cal with lots of DG. They will naturally get plenty of drainage in So Cal as long as they're not in clay. You will be hard pressed to over water your avocado trees because they love water. You just don't want them sitting in swamp water 24-7.

That tree looks great compare to mine I have high ph soil with joboto worm and they got badly burn only at 1 year old like 2 foot high and I saved them from disaster

Do you think the avocado trees should not be kept in the sun light to long hours??

Thanks for the tip about the micro sprinklers vs. drip irrigation.

I have been waiting over a year since they cashed my check, no order, no refund. Think before you buy
