Guys dont put water...Put beer instead. When i put beer in less than 2 days it grew like a giant.

Help!! I started growing my avocado pit 4 months ago. Initially I had some roots growing. But because I wasn't able to water it daily, the roots rotted. What i ended up doing was I broke the root off (the browned ones) and kept on trying. A few months have passed with daily watering....now a stem has sprouted from the pit with some leaves. However....the roots didn't grow out much since and I found some white (little-star shaped fungus-looking) spots on the root area that I could remove if I scrape it off with my finger. Should I be concerned? What do you think it is? I'm really concerned about it. Any advice would be appreciated.

PLEASE HELP my avacoda has neen growing for 3 months . It has very small roots like slimy mm string s it fell of its tooth picks and it is broken right down the middle. But it has huge seed in the middle.

i didn't do toothpick ,all I did put in soil , and it grows. just keep water it everyday.

i have always potted my pits straight away. i wash them let them dry over night then put them in potting mix. a few weeks later i have a plant. i have one 2 years old tree and two 1 year old trees. thats from four pits. the other one did sprout and lasted a good year. then got frost burned and the top died and it started sprouting from the side. i had to get rid of it. it wouldnt have been a stable tree. good luck!

I have three in a glass of water they all have lots of roots, but no shoots with leaves. I will plant them in a few days hoping that will cause it to grow.

Man, I just got some soil, dug a hole, threw it in there, covered it, waited a long time, dug it back up, and it was germinating, put it back covered it up, watered it. Like a boss

when i put the seed in the water should i put it like in the window so it get some sun light or it should get sun light at all?
