Alocasia Portora Elephant Ear - Let's dig it up and bring it Inside
Tips, Tricks
First of all I would like to apologize for the wind noise. I was trying everything available to me to correct it. This elephant ear i will be bringing indoors for the winder. Unlike many of my other Elephant ears... this one i will be leaving many leaves on. Hi, I have a giant elephant ear that I have had inside the house for about 5 years. The stock is becoming long, causing the stems to become too heavy, bend and die. I love this plant, but I'm not sure what to do with it now. Can I just leave it in the pot and cut it back and if so, how far Dow do I cut it? I would appreciate any help as I really love this plant and don't want to ruin it.
Thank you -
I also have an alocasia that looks like this but i was such an idiot and cut the leafs of the plant to overwinter it.
Now the plant has only 1 leaf , but the plant seem to like full sun. -
HI I am going to buy a alocasia calidora..and would like to know if it can be kept in a pot all the time? and will it go to sleep like a colocasia ? thanks
-
why did you keep some leaves here while you chopped all leaves off Colocasia Gigantea in another video? What would you recommend for Alocasia Macrorrhiza? Thanks a lot!

Hey Bill, can you make a vid including that P gigantea I sent you? It'd be cool to see how it is doing a month later.
Also, I read a crazy mans blog a while ago, he said that he grew Colocasia esculenta in the ground in zone 6 all year with heavy mulch. What do you think about that; nonsense, or possible? -
Blame Mercury retrograde for the communication issues. AND DELAYS. It's been quite rampant this month. It'll begin to calm down by the 26th. Maybe the wind as well. LOL.

Hey Bill....the plant next to the one you removed is really pretty...looks like a nice shrub.
-
My elephant ear, well... it's hard to explain, oh if I post a photo of my elephant ear will you be able to identify the variety and maybe give me advice on how to make it look, well, not as ugly?
