Acrylic Painting Jacaranda Tree Painting
Tips, Tricks
EASY jacaranda tree acrylic painting. This was painted with decoart crafters acrylic paints on watercolour paper. A canvas is also a suitable painting surface. Quick How-to: The grass was painted with leaf green acrylic paint and shaded with hunter green in the distance. The sky was painted with a mixture of sky blue acrylic paint and white acrylic paint. I allowed it to completely dry before I painted the tree. The tree trunk and branches were painted with a mixture of cinnamon brown acrylic paint and black acrylic paint. The tree was highlighted with a mixture of cinnamon brown acrylic paint and antique white acrylic paint. Then highlighted again with just antique white acrylic paint. The first layer of leaves and blossoms of the tree were painted with a mixture of african violet acrylic paint and black acrylic paint. The second layer of leave and blossoms were painted with african violet acrylic paint. Then they were highlighted with lavander acrylic paint. The shading under the tree was painted with a paint wash made of water and a tad of acrylic paint. The blades of grass at the base of the tree trunk were painted with leaf green acrylic paint I used a flat paint brush to paint the background, a scruffy round paint brush to paint the leaves and blossoms on the tree and a liner paint brush for the fine detail. The paint colours I used were hunter green, leaf green, lavander, african violet, antique white, black, white, sky blue and cinnamon brown acrylic paint.
