Zone 7: Average last frost is April 15, first frost October 15 I planted the tatume squash in this 5 x 5 bed on April 19. In this bed, there is also; - pole beans - lima beans - tomatoes - chard - okra - onions - peppers This video was filmed on July 5. Plants are almost 3 months old TIMELINE April 19 - planted seeds April 30 - plants broke ground June 7 - begin climbing trellis June 22 - noticed first flowers July 4 - noticed very small squash beginning to grow July 5 - day of video. Nothing harvested yet Things I've learned about tatume squash (trust but verify): Pick a location that is sunny. This is a vining squash. At the time of this video, they have climbed about 6 feet high There are 3 plants in a 2 x 1 space (a little crowded)
