Please do some Research before you post a video. Dragon Fruit is not from Viet-Nam it is a plant Native to Mexico. Where is known as Pitahaya or Pitaya.

Hey John.... Come do another video and highlight them again. I was just there today buying more for my 'food forest'. I have 3 acres in Escondido that I've been building on since 1995. It is a combination Food Forest, Palm & Cycad botanical garden with chickens, rabbits, ponds, rain harvesting, permaculture, aviculture, vermiculture wonderland. Would be happy to share my gardens with you.

I live in Escondido and have been going to Exotica for 25 years... It is the ONLY nursery like it in San Diego and needs everyones support. They've already lost half their land, leased land he couldn't pay anymore, with 25+ yrs of in ground plantings of mother stock that he no longer has access to. With support he will possibly sustain the lease on his land now. He and his mother have been there for 30 yrs.. but only lease the land. Don't buy from Home Depot or Lowe's. Buy from Exotica. :)

NEW (female) Would have been more interesting if my video didn't keep stopping all the time.

Exotica Is a awesome Nursery I have been going there since the beginning of the year. Its a little overgrown and hard to maneuver around but they carry a lot of hard to find stuff!
-

Dude, loquat skin is delicious. It's thin with a tart snap which complements the sweet flesh. You're missing out!
-
all these times i have been in Vista and gone right by it! not knowing what i missed.
-
is Cherimoya frost tolerant?
-
@andrew96ok Perhaps then, it's not so surprising that this video is equally unorganised and clueless.

John, speaking of exotic fruits... I found someone online who is sending me a cutting of a Peanut Butter fruit plant. I have never dealt with cuttings before, but I plan dip the root tip in rooting hormone and plant in cactus/citrus potting mix on top of a heating pad for growing indoors. Is there anything else I need to know?

Re: Curry Leaf ....no,its absolutely wrong to dream that Curry Powder or what you call "curry seasoning" involves drying and powdering of the leaves. I think you need a fact checker! :) Curry leaf may be dried and ground with dry roast lentils and other spices to make "parappu podi", but for "curries" fresh leaf is essential, that is why they sell the plants, otherwise you could just buy dried leaf at the store, and is used fresh, in very hot oil and blanched.. good video though!

Jelly palms are a great choice of palm!! Great color. Great fruit.

Where I'm from, we call cherimoya "skobapel" in our local language, that would be "schubappel" in dutch and it literally means "scales apple" :)

I saw this video today, and wanted to see this place for myself. Not to sound as rude as andrew96ok, yes his nursery is cluttered, and a lot of plants aren't labled. This definitely ain't no Home Depot. This nursery is more of an earthy forest type nursery. You might get lost in there lol. Just ask Steve what you're looking for, and he will guide you right to it. He's a tall hippy looking dude. Very friendly too. If you're looking for something rare, unique, and inexpensive, check out Exotica.
