Hello, is the mixture also good with my organic pepper plants?
-
i tried this and it did not work. i sprayed the hell outta my hibiscus and it did kill the whitefly but they came back full force the next morning! i sprayed the hell outta it again n it still doesnt work. i phoned multiple nurseries about worm casting and they've never heard of it.
help please! my hibiscus are indoor and i love in Ontario so i cant take them outside half of the year due to it being to cold to spray them with poisonous stuff. i also have a cat so i dont want to get her sick either. -
Tremendous! Thanks so much. Yes, these insects are disgusting! ick!

You don't even show what they are. You should show pictures or video of the actual, Whitefly. I don't have any idea what they look like.

do we blow the leaves or vacuum suck it? and also what is the powder used???

Aw...Loren Nancarrow. Your time on earth was way too short. Thank you for bringing attention to the plight of racing greyhounds back in 1992. You helped spearhead the rescue movement. Nice seeing you on this video. Great tip. Woof woof Operation Greyhound.

I hate this little creatures D: i have 1 OOONNNEEEE uno plant and they are killing my precious. I will follow the tips to see if it comes back to life

The rubbing alcohol doesn't hurt the plants? I have been battling the things and this seems like a simple mix. I just worry if it will harm my vegetable and lettuce plants.

Like your tips here. I have 8 feet high and 300 feet of hedges that are ficus and they are infested with the whiteflies. So, I need to cover a large area. I have heard that a solution of water with dish soap detergent sprayed on them will get rid of them .. any thoughts on this ?

You must spray the UNDER side of the leaves though. That's soooo important.

Cup I have a cucumber plant I grew from seed, kept indoors in a container. It was lovely with out a single bad mark on it. After I transplanted it from the seed tray to the container, a week later in one day it began to go down hill. I found white flies under its leaves. I sprayed and I'm pretty sure I've gotten rid of them and plan to spray again. But the damage to my cukes was pretty bad. They were left with dried leaves that had blotches all over them. I cried and cried. I raised them from babies and this happened to them in a matter of hours right in front of my eyes! Now I spray them early in the morning then again in the evening with rain water and proxcide. They are trying hard to live. They are still growing and trying to make new leaves but these new leaves seem to be a bit stunted. I thought raising my herbs and vegies inside I would not have issues with pests like this but I've been battling these white bastards and gnats every single day! I read that the white fly carries a virus it injects into the plant that there is no cure for so the plant should be destroyed. But these are my babies I watch be born in front of my eyes! What do you think? Can they make a full recovery from this white fly attack? Will their fruit be effected by it?

Get to the fucking point!

Thanks so much for this tip!! I've got a lovely hibiscus that has either whiteflies or mealy bugs. My husband has blasted it with pesticide, which seems to have killed them, but I hate using chemicals. Thanks so much for the organic alternative. I'll be spraying all my patio plants with the 50/50 solution every 5 days for a month. That oughtta get the buggers!! ;-)

how about in ab Aquaponic situation?....thanks

Thanks, Loren! You always have the good stuff.

I have tried to spray those fly with water diluted vinegar or salt or soap pepper powder nothing work. I even go for some over the counter stuff only ending up killing the plants nothing work. But alcohol fix all most bug in house plants. I just wished i learn about this sooner.

White flies are a continuous problem in Southern CA and I will definitely try your remedies. THANK YOU!!!

Sounds like mealy bugs to me. The alcohol thing will work just as well against them. You can also put some coffe grounds on the soil of your tomato plants. All sucking insects hate that and it will fertilize your plants and make them stronger and more pest resistant.
