Hi! I was wondering where the red-tinged leaves come from, is it only a specific types of Crassula? Or i've heard that you can stress it into the red colour, if that's true then how do I achieve it? I just think it's really beautiful and I'd love it on my plant! and hello from sunny Scotland!!!

Hello bensonandaga, Congratulations on getting your Jade plant. I'm not able to help you without a picture of the plant. I'm sorry you are experiencing these problems of black spots. I would try to remove all the affected areas and keep the plant in a very sunny area. Good luck!

Great set. I've been experiencing with jade plants for quite a few years now and now I can say that the best varieties for pruning and shaping are the second from the left and, of course, 'Hobbit' (Shrek's ears). Variegata (green and white leaves) is also quite easy to grow. Those colourful varieties (such as 'Tricolor') are beautiful but tend to fall apart instead of propagating.
