I planted a paw-paw a few years ago but I think it didn't like the place; this year I planted two persimmon trees, I hope they will grow well !

THANK you for the watering tips. We've watered too close to the avocado trees trunk. Our avocado trees (planted on a mount for better drainage) are still looking pretty sad now (leaves burned on the edges). We're told to mulch heavily (we did 2inches of narural cedar bark) to prevent chlorine/salt in the water from accumulating on top of the soil..
We don't think it works. Leaves are still looking burned. help😥 -
we got a peach orchard started up four years now, nothing like a ripe peach that is almost dripping with juice, almost over ripe, oh my its amazing. place hay bales along the trunk all around the tree they love it! edit: the old farmer dudes who visit are amazed because the local lore is that peaches wont grow here. so wrong, i have Elephant Heart heirlooms, Early Elbertas, some type of white peach i forget, Contenders, Damson and Methley Plums, and many more to grow here in z5 all organic and tree ripened. use the hay bales!!

Hey John. We are getting ready to move and the property we will be moving to has several nice PawPaw trees. A few are located close to where we will be putting our garden and I would like to take care of them for better production. My question is can I mulch a well established PawPaw and would u recommend pruning them? I don't know how old they are but they are over 12 feet tall and produced some delicious PawPaws this year.

In SoCal we have a couple great nurseries, one is "Champa Nursery" in El Monte. They have great finds, my favorite being the different kinds of mangos. https://www.facebook.com/champa.nursery/ on fb

Great information, video, and excitement! A year and a half ago I planted 5 apple and 5 pear trees. One died another looks like it is going. From you I think I know why... water dribbler at the base of each tree. They are probably getting rot. Thanks so much!

when I was a kid, we had cherries, pears, plums, walnuts, and grapes. They often had worms in them, so many years, they all went to waste. So how do you stop worms without poisoning ourselves if I want to start growing again?
