Thank You Stacey for all the information. I did not know about the herbs and now I will put mine in a cup after I pick them. You are so right about how they rot in the refrig. I did not know I was doing something wrong. Plus, I did not know I had to cut every 3rd. I really learned a lot from you. Thanks again. Gail

Thanks for the video, Stacey. I've never roasted tomatoes before so could you please tell me a time and temperature to do that? Thanks. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Stacey. I learned a lot!
I was curious why you didn't mention two other "tried & true" methods for ripening:
1) Putting green or somewhat unripe tom's in a paper bag
2) Hanging a pulled-up plant with fruit on it
These have worked for me with several varieties.
BTW, Sungold is truly my favorite cherry -- too bad it's a hybrid! -
Thanks so much Stacey. One question: I learned that tomatoes ripen best in the dark, like in a closed cupboard. I hear you saying repeatedly "on the counter." Which is it please?

I hate to be THAT person, but I'm pretty sure you mean calyx, the green sepals at the base of a flower or fruit. A kalif is a Muslim leader, lol.

Thanks for the tips. I had heard that it was helpful to remove lower foliage, and I knew about picking as they start to ripen, but hearing the explanations was reassuring. Bringing in and roasting the recent splits is a great idea - thanks!
