There only 2 lawn grasses i will only have is St Augustine Grass and Centipede Grass and i prefer Centipede cause you don't have to mow it once it fully takes over and is very low maintenance, but it does need a little bit of water in droughts and that just about it...I tried every type of grass there is and the St. Augustine and Centipede was the best of all for shade and full sun, and choose the Centipede cause of the low maintenance. Looks great, It took 5 years to fully cover 12 acres of Centipede grass where i don't have to mow the weeds in it. Unless you want to hope it up with some 5-5-5 fertilizer to make it a little darker green, then you will need to mow it every now and then, like once a month he hee. The shorter you cut it, the more it runs. I keep mine at 6" tall will stay about 8" and that cool too. and it looks great and i LOVE IT! its a smaller blade grass than the Augustine or Carpet Grass and a lighter green. My Dad calls it Water Grass, But its Centipede Grass! He Hee THE GRANNY GREEN / But i don't care i love it.... I watch my neighbors trying to keep there yard looking as great as mine and mow all the time while i'am laughing and going to the bank with my money He Hee
